PRESS RELEASE: Michelle O’Michael in conjunction with Project Row Houses, announces her eco-sculpture exhibition, Abundance Bloom. Under the auspices of the Houston Arts Alliance (HAA), Abundance Bloom celebrates the abundance in our lives with a -floral painting using 100% environmentally friendly materials. The planting media is “excelsior waddleâ€, a wood-based straw shaped with biodegradable vegetable oil-based plastic. All the Abundance Bloom elements, including the steel pedestal (steel being the most recycled modern material), decompose over time. With this sculpture Ms. O’Michael has expanded the boundaries of environmental art in Houston. Abundance Bloom project received generous support from Houston Arts Alliance, SculptWerk Artist’s Services, Buchanan’s Nursery, Tea’s Nursery, San Jacinto Environmental Supplies, and Greg Haas, Studio D'Oro llc, Houston.
