Design September

The first design festival of Brussels, Design September brings together more than 50 events over three weeks. Almost 100 designers and architects from Belgium and abroad will participate and share their passion through conferences, symposiums, awards, exhibitions, meetings, soirees and drinks. Een podium voor de Belgische en internationale ontwerpers zoals de Bouroullec, Alberto Meda, Maarten Baas, Patrick Jouin, David Trubridge, Ron Arad en veel anderen. Launched in 2006 within the framework of the Fashion and Design year, the Design September festival gathers around fifty events related to design. Design of furniture, lightings and objects, also industrial, graphic, food and landscape design: the spectrum of the applications of this industrial discipline is vast. And reaches a large audience. A crowd of associations, institutions and other independent organizations agreed to propose, between September 7th and 30th 2008, a program of a great diversity: exhibitions, openings, conferences, film projections, debates, designers workshops visits, flea market, urban circuits, pecha kucha... This diversity testifies of the creative dynamism of a city unfortunately deprived of a museum entirely devoted to design. However, like the majority of cities (Paris, London, Milan, Amsterdam, Berlin, Tokyo, Singapore), Brussels also vibrates during a month to the rhythm of design.
