Interior Design Show/IDS11

In its 13th year, the INTERIOR DESIGN SHOW/IDS11 presented by RADO, is Canada's largest contemporary design event. The newest and most innovative in international and Canadian products are annually presented by 300 exhibitors. Legendary design stars and fresh talent are set to share their ideas through never before seen exhibits and inspiring talks. IDS11 is the epicenter of the 2nd annual citywide festival of design, TORONTO INTERNATIONAL DESIGN FESTIVAL/TIDF, which runs January 24 to 30 2011. This week-long festival celebrates Toronto as a major design destination. FEATURES: The 2nd annual all-day symposium, CONVERSATIONS IN DESIGN: Crowdsourcing Creativity and Community brings together a stacked panel of international design stars from Douglas Coupland to Cameron Sinclair who will challenge its audience to think outside the box, to ultimately illuminate and inspire on this provocative subject. The OPENING NIGHT SOIREE brings together the best in personalities, style, performance, and experience to create the party of the year. AZURE TRADE TALKS features Parisian architect, inventor and designer, Jean-Marie Massaud, of Massaud Studios; British born and Hong Kong based designer Michael Young, of Michael Young Studios; and Los Angeles based architect Thom Mayne, principal of Morphosis. DESIGN TALKS will host speakers who will share their expertise, knowledge and passion. The SPACE CONCEPTS FEATURE, Sibling Revelry, will see four of Canada's most creative siblings put their design acumen and relationship on the line as they work together to transform 600 sq. feet into their own unique statement of design.
