This 7th annual AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice event—the only conference on justice architecture—will bring together judges, court executives, architects, government leaders, builders, sheriffs, and police chiefs to address current issues affecting law enforcement, detention, and judicial facilities. Sustainability heads the list of challenges we will consider throughout this future-focused conference. Justice facilities have unique operational and ownership characteristics that require both a tailored approach to sustainable design and a broad definition that encompasses the social dimension.
