Muhheakantuck – Everything has a Name: Screening and Discussion with Matthew Buckingham

Artist Matthew Buckinham will be presenting his film installation "Muhheakantuck – Everything has a Name". The installation and mapping project explores the history and territory of the Hudson River Valley at the “prolonged moment” of contact between Europe and Native America, comparing and contrasting techniques of cartography and narrative. A filmmaker that has been recognized and written about in the New York Times, Time Out New York, Artforum, and Frieze, Mr. Buckingham will follow his presentation with a discussion, answering audience questions.
