Oscar Niemeyer is a Brazilian architect turning 100 this year, still working at the forefront of his discipline. A disciple of Lucio Costa and Le Corbusier, Niemeyer situated himself at the center of the Modernist movement while establishing his own unique style based on Brazil's climate and native traditions. Niemeyer's vaulting, dynamic forms have no competitors. Featured at this exhibition are Niemeyer's works from the 70s, including the Pampulha lakeside development and the architecture of Brasilia, right up to his newest projects.
