OZONE Eco Style Housing 2009

The amount of news and information with the word "eco" has recently ballooned to such an extent that you can hardly go a day without encountering it at some point in your daily life. In our individual lives and the designs of our homes, we all look to find some way in which we can make our surroundings more ecologically friendly. However, from the perspective of people who live highly developed and sophisticated urban lives, this return to older methods of doing things and a way of life that while inconvenient, used to be more intimately connected to the natural environment, might seem somewhat pointless in the bid to realize more environmentally considerate ways of living. Through a consideration of various examples of housing design and information on these living arrangements, this exhibition hopes to prompt visitors to think about how we can achieve ecologically friendly lifestyles that take into consideration health and environmental issues without sacrificing comfort. www.ozone.co.jp
