Bring your locally produced fruit and vegetables (self-grown or grown and brought within the M25) to the Inverted Market. Enter any of our various fruit and vegetable competitions judged for the best and most sustainably-sourced produce. This is a Picnic with a difference. The fruit and vegetables brought to the event will form a food miles installation. The purpose of the event is to engage people in a dialogue about the environmental impact of remote food production and an alternative use of open space. Could urban food production be positively combined to create a network of convivial and productive spaces in the city - a Continuous Productive Urban Landscape (or CPUL?) Event organised by architects Andre Viljoen and Katrin Bohn. Part of the London Festival of Architecture. More here.
