The House and the City: Architecture by Diener & Diener

The exhibition Diener & Diener is a presentation of the work and the architectural approach of a Basel-based group of architects. In their design, the relationship between the buildings and the urban space emerges as a rich variety of facets. Unlike other urban-planning strategies that define the surrounding town as a backdrop in front of which the project is developed, their designs relate and stage the existing and the new parts. From the very beginning, the project is planned as part of a new and larger whole. The exhibition will explain their design process by presenting their works and the methodology in the context of urban townscape. Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery
