I wanted to share with you an exciting research endeavor – Urban Fabric – currently under way by a team at Sasaki: http://www.urbanfabricproject.com/. The research project we are undertaking will culminate in an exhibit and lecture series in our office from April 6 - May 6, 2011. Myself and the researchers would love to speak with you about this project, and your take on its relevance to the readers of the your publication. If your schedule allows, we would also like to extend the invitation for you to join us in our offices for the exhibition opening on April 6th. Following the exhibition and lecture series, we will be compiling our findings and would be happy to share them with you as the basis for an article or review. Details for posting: Urban Fabric Exhibition and Lecture Series at Sasaki Sasaki invites you to an exhibition and lecture series at our office April 6- May 6, 2011. Urban Fabric brings together independent analysis with lectures by academics, practitioners, and policy experts from across the country to probe the question: what happens to a city when industry leaves? Through the lens of the American textile industry, the project investigates the remnant social, economic and environmental conditions of three prototypical cities and presents case studies from around the world of potential strategies for the future. All lectures will be held at Sasaki (64 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA). Lectures at 6pm, unless otherwise noted. For more information, visit www.urbanfabricproject.com or call 617-923-7354.
