Archtober 2016 is just around the corner!

By Justine Testado|

Thursday, Aug 18, 2016

Mark those calendars! It won't be long until Archtober is here, and things are already taking shape. The month-long citywide festival is preparing an exciting agenda of exhibitions, lectures, conferences, films, tours, parties, and other activities that celebrate the significance of architecture and design in everyday life.

Bustler and our sister site Archinect are happy to be media sponsors for the sixth year in a row. So once Archtober officially starts on October 1, look out for our weekly Must-Do Picks. For each week of Archtober, we'll feature a list of event highlights from Archtober's growing events calendar on their brand new website!

For starters, the AIA New York Chapter announced the lineup of this year's Building of the Day tours, which are daily lunchtime tours that can be great for both New Yorkers and visitors to experience new architectural highlights popping up around town. Happening all month long during Archtober, some of this year's buildings include: The Lowline, the newly renovated St. Patrick's Cathedral; Hudson Yards; and the new 520 West 28th St. by the late Zaha Hadid.
