Watch a special SCI-Arc screening of Gregg Araki's “Nowhere” with the movie's production designer Patti Podesta. Podesta is known for the spare, moody design she created for Christopher Nolan's critically acclaimed “Memento” , and is currently working on the TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's “American Gods”.

What will historic preservation in Los Angeles look like over the next forty years? What’s the Conservancy’s role in addressing critical urban issues like density and housing? Who decides what to save? Join in on a panel discussion featuring Christopher Hawthorne, Margaret Bach, Luis Hoyos, Michelle Magalong, and Mitch O'Farrell. Larry Mantle, the host of KPCC's AirTalk and a fourth-generation Angeleno, will moderate.

The Nightingale Floor & Map-a-Porter pop-up | Open now until April 29
The Nightingale Floor is a contemporary reflection on the traditional Japanese flooring technique Uguisu-bari, an acoustic security device against sneaking intruders. The Nightingale Floor installation by Bojána Bányász, Donatella Cusmá and Matthew Gillis. intends to invert this assertion, and becomes an invitation to intrude through tweets of feets and peeves of inks.
