AR Future Projects awards 2026

Launched in 2002, the AR Future Projects awards are a window into tomorrow’s cities and landscapes, celebrating excellence in unbuilt and incomplete projects, and the potential for positive contribution to communities, neighbourhoods and landscapes around the world.

The following 13 categories will be reviewed by an international judging panel, who will choose one winner per category as well as an overall winner:

• Civic and community
• Commercial mixed-use
• Cultural regeneration
• Education
• Health
• Hotels and leisure
• Housing
• Infrastructure
• New and old
• Offices
• Regeneration and masterplanning
• Retail
• Tall buildings

Plus, there are a further three prizes to be won:

• Student prize
• Sustainable research and design prize
• Competition entry prize

Six reasons to enter:

1. All winners will be invited to a celebratory event with the AR in April 2026 during Milan’s Salone del Mobile, and receive a trophy, certificate and catalogue.
   
   
2. All entries will be published in the AR Future Projects catalogue available to all AR readers 
   
   
3. All entries will be reviewed by an international judging panel, and one winner per category – as well as an overall winner – will be chosen .
4. All entries will receive a full £50 entry discount if submitted early.
   
   
5. All entries will be featured in a grid on the AR Future Projects website, regardless of outcome.
   
   
6. Winning projects will be promoted on the AR website, emails and via social media, reaching a following of over a million worldwide.
