Who would have thought ?

The 6th Order ?

We were sure the "classical" five architectural orders totally fulfilled the human desire for "orders"... that is, for that stability and perfection, verified during more than 2,000 years... once and for all.

But life never ceases to surprise us.

Just a few days ago President Trump signed into law the irrepressible need, it seems, for the "classical" to surge again... at least for the federal buildings in the United States.

No doubt, having brought into being "the 8th Wonder of the World," (as he himself called it) the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City, was not enough. Now we need truly beautiful "classical" buildings for the governmental buildings of The Brave New World.

Gold will be lavishly splashed again, with that "classical" lack of doubts that characterized the great empires of the world.

POWER

GOLD, nothing but GOLD.

CLASSICALLY asserting themselves, again.

So let's grab the occasion! It is high time to create a new order, the 6th.

Maybe it will not be inspired by nature, but by that more beautiful word than "love," that is, "tariffs."

President Trump, who was and is right about everything, is right about this one as well, of course. No chance for love to compete with tariffs, especially increased tariffs.

So let's do it, dear architects: let's create, once and for all, THE 6TH ORDER, after the Tuscan, Doric, Ionic, Corinthian and the Composite.

We wouldn't be too wrong, we believe, if we would call it: THE TRUMPIAN ORDER.

A legitimate follower of the previous five, but greater, of course.

A sublime chance, dear architect, to show your skill, interminably subdued by the weakness of democracy and modernity alike.

NOW IT IS HIGH TIME TO BRING ARCHITECTURE TO ITS MOST SUBLIME, AGAIN, employing THE NEW ORDER, THE 6TH ONE, CREATED BY YOU.

A HISTORIC OCCASION, dear architect, an unprecedented one, if we are to use this very fashionable word, these days, UNPRECEDENTED.

MAKE IT UNPRECEDENTED, dear architect.

CREATE THE 6TH ORDER!
