Theme: Innovation in Function and Innovation in Form

The architectural design of developing countries is full of vigor and vitality, representing a milestone in the history of world architecture. The purpose of this exhibition is to gather a wide range of design works. At the same time, the exhibition will maximize the selection process and enhance the recognition of designers' creative works, and thereby promote international architectural cultural exchange.

Qualification

Teachers and students from universities and colleges worldwide, as well as designers and design enthusiasts, are all eligible to participate in the competition. Participants may enter as individuals or teams (with no more than 5 members per team).

Submission requirements

1. The design work must be located in developing countries. It can be a completed project, a project under construction, or an unbuilt actual project. It can also be a pilot study, a discussion, or a student design work;

2. The drawings and content of the design work are not restricted, but electronic documents should be in JPG or PDF format, and their resolution should  be no less than 100 DPI;

3. The drawings of the design work should include a brief description to clarify the design intent and characteristics. There is no limit on the number of characters, but the language should be Chinese (traditional or simplified) or English;

4. The competition only accepts electronic documents, and the electronic documents must not exceed 50 MB. They must be sent to the email address:[email protected]. For the sake of fairness, the registration form is required to be sent to:[email protected] and [email protected] to back up the registration information;

5. The electronic documents submitted by the participants include: the registration form, the design work, the payment voucher or photo, the electronic scan of the student ID, the electronic scan of the recommendation, and the electronic scan of the award certificate. In order to ensure the accurate transmission and verification of the registration information, please fill in the registration form online before submitting your works. 6.The deadline for application and payment is February 28, 2026. The submission deadline is March 15, 2026. The organizing committee will present the awards in March 2026.

Awards

1. Best Architectural Design Award (10)

2. Gold Award (30)

3. Silver Award (100)

4. Bronze Award (500)

5. Excellence Award (unlimited number)

6. Nomination Award (unlimited number)

7. Finalist Award (all eligible participants)

Note:The above awards will be issued by IAS and HESAP. The organizing committee is likely to have some of the Best Architectural Design Award works reported by the Hong Kong media or interview some of the authors, but the specific circumstances will be notified separately. Gold Award works and Best Architectural Design Award works will also be collected, and a collection certificate will be issued by HESAP.

Student works will be eligible for the Gold Award (5), Silver Award (50), Bronze Award (100), Excellence Award (open-ended), and Finalist Award. Projects that meet the submission requirements can directly receive the Finalist Award or higher. The number of awards will be adjusted appropriately based on the number of entries, and this will no longer be announced separately.

Entry fee

1.Each entry must pay a fee. Participants from China need to pay RMB 1,000 per entry ( RMB 350 for student works, with the student providing an electronic scan of their student card). Participants from other countries and regions need to pay US$300 per entry (US$100 for student works, with the student providing an electronic scan of their student card).
