The Los Angeles Conservancy welcomes applications for its 39th Annual Preservation Awards, honoring outstanding achievement in historic preservation. Submissions that illustrate the value and power of preservation are encouraged from across Los Angeles County.
Early Bird Deadline: Thursday, October 31, 2019 (Application Fee $100)
Final Deadline: Thursday, November 14, 2019 (Application Fee $150)
Projects honored in the past have varied widely, from sensitive restoration, rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse projects, to groundbreaking advocacy and education efforts undertaken by individuals or groups. An independent jury of distinguished architects, preservation professionals, and business and community leaders selects awards.
Eligible projects must be located in Los Angeles County and must have been completed by the date the application is submitted (projects completed before 2019 are eligible, as are previously nominated projects that did not receive an award).
For application information, please visit laconservancy.org/awards or contact Erik Van Breene at [email protected] or (213) 430-4206.
Award recipients will be announced in spring 2020 and presented at the 39th Annual Preservation Awards Luncheon.
Since 1982, the Los Angeles Conservancy has honored excellence in the field of historic preservation through its annual Preservation Awards.
In addition to project awards, the Conservancy bestows a special President's Award for exceptional contributions. Past recipients of the President's Award include Vibiana|Redbird, the City of Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency, architectural historians Esther McCoy and Robert W. Winter, and the Los Angeles Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ) Movement.
