On April 8th, 2023, there will be 50 years since he died.

Picasso & Prehistory… The “Effect” Picasso… titles… titles of the exhibitions planned for 2023.

The truth is, it is hard to ignore Picasso and a visit to the Picasso Museum in Paris would make one realize the immense force and prolificity of this communist, owner of at least one castle.

So how would A HOUSE FOR PABLO PICASSO look like ?

First, perhaps, we should ask: HOW WOULD A PICASSO ARCHITECT be ?

Let’s imagine a PICASSO ARCHITECT.

Let’s imagine that architect would be me / us.

And let’s begin to imagine architectures, among them, A HOUSE.

A HOUSE FOR PABLO PICASSO.

Of course there were, and maybe still are, protean architects. But specifically a PICASSO ARCHITECT there isn’t. Yet.

So we invite A PICASSO HOUSE, a VIVID ONE!

A HOUSE DEDICATED TO PEACE ? Maybe, if we consider the deadly war now and Picasso’s white pigeon, symbol of peace.

A HOUSE FOR A MINOTAUR ? Most surely, since Picasso was himself a Minotaur.

The Picasso universe is vast… the sources of inspiration, vast.

Our imagination, imagining a Picasso House, should be vast too.

Can we do it ?

It won’t be easy.

How to be an architect OF THIS VASTNESS ?

HOW TO HANDLE THE WHOLE FIELD OF HUMAN EXISTENCE, thus ?

And how to be children-like ? We remember that Picasso said that he learned to paint like Raphael in four years and to paint like a child in a lifetime.

LET’S BE CHILDREN.

LET’S DESCEND WITHIN OURSELVES to that level undisturbed by everything we learned.

Can we do it ?
