Design and wood Self-Construction Workshop _ Camposaz 34:34 - Reggio Emilia

Camposaz is looking for 9 people to take part in our 1:1 scale design and self-construction workshop in Reggio Emilia.

Camposaz is a free workshop with the aim of designing and self-building architectural objects to enhance the landscape and environment they are built. It is targeted at young architects and designers, who are selected by the collective, for the purpose of gathering in a temporary group the processes of design and self-construction. 

During the workshop the participants will imagine and create wood installations, with the guidance of the organisers. We will be developing eco-friendly, practical and sustainable designs based on the relationship with the landscape and its local community.

Camposaz 34:34 edition is hosted by an Architecture Festival called “RIGENERA-Circolare”, an important event for the city focused on circular economy in architecture, renovations, urban regeneration, ecc. The Festival is organized by Fondazione dell’Ordine degli Architetti PPC of Reggio Emilia.

The workshop will take place in the courtyard of Biblioteca Panizzi, the central historical library of Reggio Emilia. The building has monumental facades and is a real landmark for the citizens. The goal is to make the space more usable and functional for different kind of events.

The workshop is entirely free! Participants will only be asked to pay the registration fee for the Camposaz association of € 10.
