Canstruction Los Angeles - Call for Entries

It starts with one can. To feed the hungry. To lift the spirit. To change the world. Canstruction’s 2009 Los Angeles Design/Build Competition will put a visual spotlight on hunger while showcasing the Los Angeles design community’s best and brightest.

Think you have what it takes to design and build a structure made of nothing more than canned food, ingenuity and luck?

Space is limited and teams will be accepted in order of receipt of entry, so enter today!

Who: Open to Teams of Los Angeles Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Designers and Students attending Schools of Architecture, Engineering and Design. At least one licensed professional is required on each team. No more than five team members allowed at build-out.

What: Design & build structures made entirely from canned foods within a 10’ x 10’ x 8’h space.

When: October 7 - 25, 2009

Where: Architecture + Design Museum - Los Angeles

Why: To benefit the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank
