BRATISLAVA "NEW CITY CENTRE" INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN COMPETITION

Penta Investments is seeking to appoint an architect to design a large scale mixed use development in the city centre of Bratislava through a 2-stage pre-qualified and invited competition.
Deadline for Expression of interest: 26th January 2010

THE PROJECT
Project goal is to create part of the “new city centre” with the highest quality of urban spaces and architecture, while accommodating more than 120.000 m2 of offices, residences, retail and culture.
Surrounded by an attractive neighbourhood and serviced by excellent pedestrian access to the medieval part of the city of Bratislava, the competition site calls for the provision of a first class project.

COMPETITION
Type of competition:
Two stage competition (Pre-qualified and Invited)
Qualification for participation:

Stage One
Stage one of the competition calls for an Expression of interest from any licensed European architect. A total nos. of three architects will proceed to Stage Two

Stage Two
Three shortlisted architects from Stage 1 and five invited European architects of international standing will be asked to produce a design and make a presentation to Penta.
