ESPACIO MAYTE COMPETITION

PARALELO 39 and OPENGAP invite Architects and Interior Designers to this ideas competition, in search of proposals for the space remodeling and architectural adaptation of Mayte Commodore Building to create an Integral Leisure Space.
In Madrid there is a need for spaces where the trend of an audience over 30 who likes to dine at the same place where they can take a quiet drink and even enjoy a good environment in which extend the night .
Responding to this trend, comes the idea of a space that combines a range of different concepts that will be unique in Madrid and Spain.
The competition pretends primarily to provoke reflection on a concept with many references of interest around the world, in order to create an innovative space, bringing to Madrid these kind of spaces that already operate in other European capitals.
From an avant-garde approach, the proposal must be willing to an identity and powerful image, but to support the flexibility and versatility to keep a condition of timeless essence. However it must allow the modification of simple decoration, to adapt to new circumstances without renouncing to the presence and image recognition.
The purpose of the competition is the selection of a proposal and a team to develop the winning idea in the corresponding architectural Project.
