'Street Smart' Competition

‘Street Smart’ is a first-of-its kind competition that invites designers to re-imagine and re-design our city streets and details based on local users and Indian sensibilities and not simply global standards and aesthetics.

The Challenge invites design professionals to envision ready-to-build designs for urban dwellers of typical Indian cities; keeping in mind the local user patterns.

The entries should investigate the navigational path of an urban dweller of typical Indian Cities and create design proposals for points of urban impact such as (but not limited to):

• Benches
• Dustbins
• Signage
• Maps
• Bus Stops/Rickshaw or Taxi stands
• Planters
• Pavements
• Tree guards
• Urban Shades
• Others
