Line of Site Sketch Competition

The Architectural sketch competition ‘Line of Site’ is open for 2008/9.

Line of Site looks to break away from the mundane and offers three unique design briefs which open through the period June 2008 to February 2009.

This year’s competition includes two exciting new Geo based briefs where competitors are able to select their own geographical locations to design their buildings - buildings that are not intended to actually be built.

The organisers are looking for ‘quick’ initial ideas that capture the essense of creativity and mark the point when those ideas take shape.  Submissions can be either electronically generated or drawn by hand - sketch designs, not fully developed designs.

The site for the first brief is located well north of Norway on islands between the Arctic Ocean, Barents Sea, Greenland Sea, and Norwegian Sea , it’s a remote and inhospitable place!
