Open Competition for Designing the Hungarian Government District

The Hungarian Treasury Property Directorate has announced an open competition for the preparation of urban development design concepts related to the development of the area of Western Railway Station (Budapest) to be converted into a Government District and designing of the complex of government buildings. 

Description: According to the comprehensive goal of the project, the various government agencies currently accommodated in buildings of varying quality, unsuitable to meet the modern requirements and scattered in various districts of the capital should be moved to a new, consistently designed and structured complex of government buildings ensuring that the said complex of government buildings constitute an element of a new district of the town which comfortably and integrally fits into the improving urban structure of Budapest.

The design contract shall not include preparation of an urban settlement and regulation plan in respect to the entire area to be developed within the new Government District.

Price to be paid in exchange for the documentation is 90000 HUF (370 EUR)

Time-limit for the receipt of bids or requests to participate: 2007/07/11
Date of announcement of the results: June 11, 2007, at 4 p.m.

Prizes awarded:
HUF 100,000,000 (gross amount) (400 000 Euro)is available to award prices and to purchase bid materials.
Max. amount of prize: HUF 20,000,000 (80 000 Euro) (gross amount).
Min. amount of prize: HUF 1,000,000 (4000 Euro) (gross amount).
