universal design award

What’s new?

For the first time all Entries will be evaluated by a representative cross-section of the population consisting of 100 test persons. The survey will be conducted using an evaluation questionnaire developed by ud GmbH with emphasis on the criteria of universal design.

A point system will be used to determine the winners of a “universal design consumer favorite 09” award. An approval rating of at least 75% is necessary.

Participation

The following groups are eligible to compete for a universal design award 09:

• Product designers
  Generationally sound products or product groups
• Graphic designers
  Generationally sound design of websites, print products etc.
• Manufacturers
• Service providers and service designers
  Generationally sound concepts and services
• Architects
  Generationally sound, sustainable design of residential quarters, houses, industrial buildings, office buildings and public facilities
• Interior designers
  Generationally sound design of public facilities, offices, hotels, shops and industrial buildings

Registration of competition entries: Final deadline: December 15, 2008
