EUROPE BY DESIGNERS

BACKGROUND:
EUROPE BY DESIGNERS is an international artistic project whose aim is to unveil a multitude of images of Europe from the inside and from the outside. Design as the expression of a cultural vision, a political vision or a simple and unposed feeling… Design and its diversity as a new way to catch Europe.

THEME:
Designers, illustrators, photographers, design studios, collectives/crews, agencies… you are all welcome to submit an innovative, creative, exciting, personal and experimental work around the theme: “Europe : what does Europe mean to you?”. We are expecting diversity and freestyle : all styles of outstanding visual media are welcome. Selected works will be featured online and, hopefully, through future exhibitions and book.

NO ENTRY FEE IS REQUIRED.

ELIGIBILITY:
Worldwide designers, illustrators, photographers, design studios, agencies, collectives/crews are invited to submit work at:

We are interested in showcasing all styles of outstanding visual media, including illustration, graphic design, photography, drawing, painting, etc. as an online exhibition and, hopefully, through future exhibitions and book.
Whether you’re an individual or a group, you are allowed and more than welcome to submit multiple works.
Participation is open to applicants from every country in the world.
All submissions must be received BY: WEDNESDAY, 31ST DECEMBER, 2008.
Selected contributions will be announced by the end of January, 2009.

DIMENSION & FORMAT:
You have to create your original work in print quality (minimum 300dpi, CMYK, TIFF or EPS format) as it may be required for future exhibitions and book.
Resolution for submission: Submissions are to be sent at 72dpi.
Format for submission: JPG, PNG, GIF (no layers) are acceptable (no compression please for a better quality).
Size: There is no restriction… however, we need printable works (no stamps please! we suggest you a DIN A4 - 210mm x 297mm - for example)!

FILE NAME:
Please name your files in that unique way: YourName_Title_1.extension (2, 3… for multiple entries) AND YourName_EntryForm.txt. Place them all in a folder named “YourName_YourContry” and compress everything altogether in a .zip format.
