Welcome Designers! Spark is the exciting new competition created to promote great design and designers. We invite everyone to participate—designers, art directors, architects, design firms, manufacturers, institutions, ad agencies, students and novices may enter and enjoy the Spark Design Awards.

Graphics, product, transportation and architecture are just a few of the many design categories accepted. Special categories include Public Sector Design, produced with Rutger’s National Center for Public Productivity, Newark Campus and Mobility Design, produced with Automobile Magazine.

The general deadline is midnight, May 15 and the late deadline is 5pm, May 30, 2007. (All designs must be delivered and on-site by May 31.)

An independent jury of prestigious design experts will judge these works, nominating the designs that rank among the best of the world in their category. Those rare entries that clearly stand above their peers will receive “HotSpark Awards.” Entries that make a special effort to improve our world may earn the “Aspirational Award.”

The competition finale will be celebrated in an awards ceremony and reception hosted at the Art Center College of Design. Winners will be honored in a SparkLive exhibit in the Windtunnel for approximately 30 days and in the online exhibition at SparkAwards website for a year. Additionally, selected winners will be featured in the pages of our media partners.
