BIOME 2 - Imagining a new nature in the city for the Grand Est
Registration Deadline: Thursday, Nov 3, 202211:55 PMCEST
Submission Deadline: Friday, Nov 4, 202211:55 PMCEST
The DREAL Grand-Est with the support of the DGALN of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion invites you to participate in the second edition of the Biome competition. This national competition of ideas is open to students in architecture and landscape schools.
The greening of cities is a major issue in the face of climate change and its impacts on our living spaces. The city, by its density, amplifies the effects of climate change. Renaturation solutions can help mitigate these effects by acting on health, biodiversity and generally improving the quality of life.
The Biome competition invites you to imagine, in a selection of small and medium-sized towns in the Grand-Est region, an architectural, urban or landscape project capable of bringing the city and nature into dialogue. Faced with the global issues related to global warming, how can we imagine resilient urban complexes?
The Biome competition offers you the opportunity to put utopia and reality into dialogue with the aim of rewarding innovative ideas demonstrating that nature is a source of renewal for urban spaces.
To participate in the competition, you must choose one of the sites available on the competition platform in the sites tab. It is a selection of 68 cities (from 5000 to 50 000 inhabitants) of the Grand Est region.
