KEEPING CURRENT: Climate Design Lab 2019

Register/Submit Deadline:  Monday, Apr 8, 201912 PMEDT

20 high school students (age 16 and older) will enter a 3-week summer education lab & be put in competition teams to research & design forward-thinking solutions to climate change. In the education lab, students will learn about sea level rise challenges in the Miami region & beyond, & be equipped with design skills that can be used to create innovative solutions.

KEEPING CURRENT: Climate Design Lab 2019 is a project of Van Alen Institute (vanalen.org). Van Alen Institute is an NYC-based non-profit that works collaborates with communities, scholars, policymakers, & professionals on local and global initiatives that rigorously investigate the most pressing social, cultural, & ecological challenges of tomorrow.

This program is in partnership with The CLEO Institute (cleoinstitute.org). CLEO is a Miami-based climate education, engagement, and advocacy non-profit.
