Mental Canvas, Inc. is a software technology company whose unique platform has reimagined drawing for the digital age by enabling creations that can be experienced outside the confines of a page or a single moment in time. The Challenge runs from July 14, 2021 to Oct 11, 2021. There will be mini challenges for cash prizes throughout the duration of the contest. Registration is now open, and registration provides access to submission instructions.
The challenge spans five categories: Architecture and Places, Education, Comics, Napkin Sketches, and Storytelling. Entrants may submit to multiple categories and the judges reserve the right to assign a category to an entry. The grand prizes will be selected from the entire group of entries, regardless of category.
The total ARV (approximate retail value) of all prizes is $100,000 (USD). There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner for the grand prize along with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each of the 5 categories (18 prizes in total). The prize breakdown is as follows:
- Grand prize (across all submissions, regardless of category):
- 1st: $25,000
- 2nd: $15,000
- 3rd: $10,000
- Categories Winners (in each of the 5 categories):
- 1st: $5,000 (x5 winners)
- 2nd: $3,000 (x5 winners)
- 3rd: $2,000 (x5 winners)

The judges will remain anonymous. There will be a panel of several judges, primarily from the partner companies as well as select external experts.
There is no cost to enter, and there is a limited time promotional version of Mental Canvas Draw available for free on the iOS app store and the Microsoft store.
