V&A Friday Late: Mirror Mirror

The original contemporary late night event. Friday Late celebrates all aspects of contemporary visual culture and design in society, bringing audiences face-to-face with leading and emerging artists and designers through live performance, film, installation, debate, DJs and late-night exhibition openings.

In our image-obsessed age, we’re under relentless pressure to subscribe to normative standards of beauty. Through concealment and conformity, we make ourselves up in the reflection of what society finds attractive. Join us this Friday Late as we disrupt the ideal. From the playful to the political, be inspired by those defining beauty for themselves. Uncover how beauty can be used as a tool for activism and explore unapologetic assertions of self-expression.
