A display of recent student work from across the country in response to the theme of RIBA’s current exhibition in the Architecture Gallery, Disappear Here: On perspective and other kinds of space.
Perspective is one of the enduring, fascinating and important concerns of architectural thinking, representation and practice. This new display is a celebration of the theme, drawing on some of the brightest work from architectural students and recent graduates selected from fifteen architecture schools from across the UK.
Fresh Perspectives shares a common thread with Disappear Here: On perspective and other kinds of space, a new commission by Sam Jacob Studio currently exhibited in the Architecture Gallery, which traces the lineage of perspective across centuries and technologies. This display of student work demonstrates the continuity of practice and thinking from a future generation of practitioners, within an ever-broader palette of techniques, concerns and materiality. As such, it celebrates not only the theme of perspective, but also the achievements of recent graduates nationwide.
