Sketchup Bootcamp: Spring Into Sketchup

Tuesday, Apr 28, 20206 PM - 8 PMEDT

Boston, MA, US Online Event | Click here to attend and/or register

Put some spring in your SketchUp! Come visit us virtually during an online session of the next BSA SketchUp Bootcamp and learn from an expert! All user levels are welcome, from new users to pros; best practices for SketchUp drawing are emphasized each session, whether you're starting your first SketchUp model or expanding your SketchUp proficiency.

Wish you could model right inside a photograph? I’ll show you how, using the "Import as MatchPhoto” option in SketchUp. It’s an easier way to show your building on an existing street, create an addition onto an existing building, or even to show different furniture options in an existing interior space.

How about importing custom textures into your models? Learn an easy method using the "Import as Texture” option, and some tricks for tweaking your textures including scaling, stretching, and rotating.

And this month I’ll de-mystify the Rotate tool with a step-by-step process including tips for finding center points, locking the protractor, and the secret “quick-rotate” function hidden within the Move tool. We’ll also go through the steps for making arrays with Rotate+Copy, like arranging chairs around a circular table or adding detail to an arched opening.

As always, bring your questions and I’ll help you streamline your process and become more adept with SketchUp.

Feel free to bring your fully-charged laptop (and mouse) with SketchUp version 2017 (or later) installed, or just come to watch.
