Welcome All: Designing Inclusivity into Cultural Buildings

Friday, Jul 10, 202012 PM - 1 PMEDT

Online Event | Click here to attend and/or register

What can we, as planners and designers, do to ensure the safety and inclusion of visitors to and staff of our cultural buildings now, in the short-term, and in the future? Efforts must intensify to amplify voices within our richly varied society that have been suppressed and marginalized by institutional and systemic racism. How can we use our design talents to create environments that make it easier for BIPOC voices to be heard?

Moderator:
Joseph Auld, Project Executive, Landair

Speakers:
Kelvin Dinkins, Jr., Assistant Dean/General Manager, Yale School of Drama/Yale Repertory Theatre
Everardo Jefferson, Founder and Partner, Caples Jefferson Architects
Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Founder and Chief Visioning Partner, Urban Bush Women

Organized by
