Designing for Equity with MASS Design Group and Herman Miller

Thursday, Feb 25, 202112 PM - 1 PMEDT

Online Event | Click here to attend and/or register

How might we use the built environment to communicate human value and healthcare quality? Herman Miller joined forces with MASS Design Group, SmithGroup, and Corgan to radically change the care experience at a new Federally Qualified Health Center in McKinney, Texas. These underserved residents struggle with access to good quality healthcare and have a number of social barriers that make getting care all the more difficult. Through an intentional use of design and a novel combination of healthcare and wrap-around services, the Family Health Center is seeking to make care accessible for the people who need it the most.

Come join an in-depth discussion with Kate Perry, Senior Vice President and Senior Director of Healthy Communities at Independent Financial Bank—the funding sponsor, along with David Saladik, Senior Principal, MASS Design Group, and Michelle Ossmann, Director of Knowledge and Insights, Herman Miller on the significance of place as both critical to operational flexibility and signaling welcome and dignity.
