Reclaim Holloway:

A Women's Building For London

Digital Talk #2

Feminist Architecture

June 14th, 19:00

Second in a series of architectural panel discussions centred around the planned Women's Building on the site of Holloway Prison. Until its closure in 2016, HM Prison Holloway was the largest female prison in western Europe. The government’s decision to sell this piece of public land has created a unique opportunity to honour the deep and layered history of the site through the provision of a Women’s Building. How can the Women’s Building development evolve to become an exemplary model of feminist architecture? Is there such a thing as feminist architecture to begin with? Join us for this crucial discussion with the following panelists:

Helen Aston (PRAXXIS, Manchester School of Architecture)

Edit Collective

Liza Fior (Muf Architecture/Art)

Christine Murray (The Developer and Festival of Place)
