“The role of cities in American life has remained essential throughout the pandemic, notwithstanding early predictions to the contrary,” said 92Y CEO Seth Pinky. “That said, it is clear that as a result of the pandemic, the fundamental changes that our cities were undergoing even pre-COVID have only accelerated.”
He continued: “Adapting to climate change, investing in infrastructure, including open spaces and parks, distributing prosperity more evenly, while ensuring that business, including the arts and entertainment, thrive -- those are just some of the big issues of the day. We look forward to exploring all of them at this summit, while delving into what makes cities great to begin with.”
