IIDA NY's Annual Leaders' Breakfast® with Keynote Speaker Candace Doby

The International Interior Design Association’s New York Chapter (IIDA NY) is proud to host Candace Doby their annual Leaders Breakfast®. Taking place at Chelsea Piers on May 11, 2023, the in-person Leaders Breakfast® celebrates excellence in design and honors recent accomplishments. 

Before a crowd of hundreds of design professionals, Doby will deliver the keynote address, aiming to inspire industry members to be courageous in their professional lives. She will lead a discussion on how to create cultures of courage and empowerment within the workplace. As the author of A Cool Girl’s Guide to Courage and If Courage Could Talk, Doby will offer her wisdom on how workers can speak up, stand out, and perform at their highest potential.

Doby has accumulated experience from over a decade of research with leading marketing teams while solo-traveling around the world. Her unique perspective has lent invaluable insight and strategies to thousands of leaders, helping them summon the courage and confidence they need to make a difference. The creator of The Courage Hotline podcast and host of the Own Your Brilliance retreat, Doby and her work has been featured on the national stage through platforms like MSNBC and NPR.

Launched in New York in 1989 by Jeannie Bochette of Steelcase, IIDA NY’s Leaders Breakfast® series began as a single event to introduce the chapter to the business world as a leading association of commercial interior design while informing members of major issues affecting the industry. Now, the event has established a forum where members and their clients can participate and network with their peers while honoring the chapter’s leadership and celebrating design excellence. A 2023 honoree will be announced at the event.
