Sharjah Architecture Triennial 2023

The Sharjah Architecture Triennial is the first major platform for architecture and urbanism in the Middle East, North and East Africa, and Asia. The 2023 edition of the triennial, curated by Tosin Oshinowo, is titled "The Beauty of Impermanence: An Architecture of Adaptability."

The triennial will explore how innovative design solutions are emerging from conditions of scarcity in the Global South. It will also explore how architecture can be more adaptable and resilient in the face of climate change and other challenges.

The triennial will feature a variety of exhibitions, installations, and workshops by leading architects, designers, and artists from around the world. Some of the highlights of the triennial include:

• An exhibition of works by emerging designers who are using innovative design solutions to address challenges in the Global South.
• A workshop on how to design for adaptability and resilience.
• A talk by a leading expert on the future of architecture in the Global South.
