2pm - Building a Legacy: Fostering the Next Generation:

In this empowering session, we will delve into the importance of passing the torch and empowering the next generation of women in design to carry forward our legacy. Our esteemed panelists include: NeKeia McSwain, Alvin Wayne and Keita Turner, all leading BID INC Members, will share their personal journeys, insights, and strategies for building a legacy while mentoring and advocating for the next wave of talent in the design industry. Panel will be moderated by Vice President of the BID INC. June Reese. From overcoming challenges to embracing opportunities, our panelists will offer valuable lessons learned and practical advice for aspiring designers. Through candid conversations and shared experiences, we will explore how mentorship, education, and community-building can play a pivotal role in shaping the future of design and fostering a more inclusive and equitable industry.


4pm - Women’s Work: Passion Meets Purpose:

For her debut panel as Luxe Interior + Design’s new editor in chief, Jill Cohen sits down with three acclaimed interior designers—Young Huh, Amy Meier and Kesha Franklin—to discuss how they navigate professional hurdles, scale expectations, and strike the balance between managing home and business.


5pm - Our Modern-Day Pioneer Women:

All hail the great trailblazers in our industry today.  Moderator, Sarah Medford—Contributing Editor at WSJ Magazine, speaks with Dara Caponigro, CCO Of F. Schumacher & Co and EIC of Frederic, Julia Noran, founder and current Head of Business of Home, and Gale Singer, founder of the direct division of Visual Comfort & Co, formerly known as Circa Lighting, to talk about recognizing what’s missing and bringing to fruition their revelatory business concepts that have shaped our industry today.
