New York City Architectural Biennial

Thursday, Oct 17, 20243 PM — Saturday, Oct 19, 20245 PMEDT

NYIT, 16 W 61st St, New York, NY 10023 New York, NY, US New York, NY, US | NYIT, 16 W 61st St, New York, NY 10023

The 2024 NYCAB theme, Architectural intersections, is intended to generate cross sectoral relationships related to contemporary trends in the production of our built environment. Taking place under this umbrella individuals from a broad spectrum of interests are invited to bring and share their intelligence and information to the NYCAB audience. As in past New York Architectural Biennials the design world —including architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, interior design, environmental design, and their collaborators in the sciences and humanities— is being called upon to apply its expertise, knowledge, and passion to the opportunities and challenges of our time.

This year, in the spirit of intersection, including cooperation and collaboration, we are asking individuals from an even broader spectrum of experience to share their ideas and concerns. Speakers and panelists are encouraged to discuss and include how transdisciplinary practice, polarization, crossroads, cutting edge technology, and other concepts and events relate to and define our actions going forward. The NYCAB looks forward to updating its broad community on milestones reached while at the same time interrogating the importance of intersections, cooperation and collaboration between disciplines, geographical scales, and administrative bodies.
