EDIT: Expo for Design, Innovation & Technology

Friday, Sep 29, 201710 AMEDT

21 DON ROADWAY, ON M5K 1B2 Toronto, ON, CA Toronto, ON, CA | 21 DON ROADWAY, ON M5K 1B2

From September 28 to October 8, Toronto will host Canada’s most ambitious design project to date - EDIT: Expo for Design, Innovation & Technology - a festival of the future.  Imagine a 150,000-square-foot abandoned factory transformed into an ultramodern world where design, innovation and technology are the solutions to today’s sustainability challenges. Step inside a world where crickets can combat global hunger, medical supplies are 3D-printed in outer space, drones deliver blood to remote communities, and shipping containers are the future of farming. A Design Exchange production, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), this 360° experience presents an “edit” of the undertakings and projects that are making the world a better place, for all people. Exhibits will be curated by global thought-leaders including Bruce Mau and Carlo Ratti, while the EDIT speaker series “Making Change” will see visionaries like Dr. David Suzuki and Scott Dadich share their opinions on how design can incite social change. Through an array of participatory experiences, talks, installations, and workshops, discover how you, too, can design the future.  www.editdx.org @editdx #editdx
