International Conference for Highrise Towers and Tall Buildings 2010

Design and Construction of safe and sustainable highrise structures 14th to 16th April 2010 - Munich OBJECTIVES Following the success of the former conferences in Bangalore, Singapore, London, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, Toronto, Dubai and Abu Dhabi the International Federation for High Rise Structures (IFHS) and Technische Universität München have decided to announce the organization of the 9th International Conference for Highrise Towers and Tall Buildings 2010, that will be held at the Technische Universität München from April 14-16, 2010. Engineers and researchers from around the world will find the Munich conference 2010 to be a unique opportunity to share new ideas, experiences, and knowledge within the field of Highrise Towers and Tall Buildings. SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM / TOPICS The scientific program will consist of peer-reviewed papers presented in Technical Sessions. In addition, Key-note Lectures will be given by invited speakers. Topics of the conference will be:

  • Sustainability and economy
  • Urbanistic concepts and Transportation
  • Building method
  • Requirements on safety, fire protection, escape
  • Rehabilitation, conversion, re-development
  • Building equipment and energy supplies
  • Cladding and Building materials
  • Design aspects (foundation, stability, earth-quake)
  • Comfortableness and microclimate
  • Insurance (risk management)
