ARCHITECTURE FOR HUMANITY - CHICAGO "HOLIDAY HANGOVER" FUNDRAISER STEELCASE WORKLIFE CENTER TUESDAY, JANUARY 19 Tickets On Sale Now CHICAGO – The slogan of Architecture for Humanity may be "design like you give a damn," but on Tuesday January 19th its Chicago Chapter is hoping you'll party like you give a damn too. The "Holiday Hangover" fundraiser and silent auction, from 6-9pm at the Steelcase WorkLife Center in the Merchendise Mart, is the chapter's first. Architecture for Humanity is a non-profit organization that promotes architecture and design to seek out solutions to social and humanitarian issues locally as well as globally. Now two years old, the Chicago Chapter will announce the results of their recent logo redesign competition and showcase their completed projects. "We're really looking forward to showing people what we've been up to these past two years," said Laura Bowe, the chapter's networking committee co-chair. "It's also a great opportunity to learn about our upcoming projects and ways to volunteer." Tickets priced at $25 with an advance RSVP and $35 at the door, not including applicable service charges, are on sale now at www.afhchicagoholidayparty2010.eventbrite.com. Wine, beer, and light refreshments will be served. Proceeds go towards supporting future chapter projects.
