DW'8 is a a series of affordable collaborative design workshops organized by the o2 Luxembourg Liaison of the o2 Global Network for Sustainable Design to inspire individuals, nurture collaborative culture and fuel curiosity. We share skills and knowledge, and design as a community. Workshop 1: Naked Castle July 14-15, 2008 A Renaissance Castle is your playground and home at the same time in this workshop. You will get to choose one of a series of totally bare rooms, assign them a function and design concepts for its use. This workshop is mainly focusing on collaborative work, concept development, interaction design and contextual analysis. Intense Micro-Workshops are part of this design adventure. Workshop 2 : Mixed Greens July 28- August 8, 2008 Mixed Greens is a community project, and involves multiple variable design challenges to fuel ideas and re-think the way we design and consume. This workshop is based on team work, leadership and applied sustainable strategies and is carried out indoors and outdoors. You will be very close to nature. Workshop 3: Make it Real August 11- 22, 2008 Make it Real is all about making your own idea come true. You'll have the time, space and support to finally make this one project you've always wanted to design come true. The value in this workshop lies in the collaboration with your peers, excellent critics and the space, time and inspiring environment to make your idea flourish beyond imagination. No dry conferences, no hour long Powerpoint presentations, no lonely hotel rooms in the evening, no overrated application fees. DW'8 is an inspiring design experience like no other. We're looking forward to an exciting summer, and hope to have you with us at Design Wintrange 2008.
