The Architecture Foundation presents Legacy Plus, a three-day program that takes a creative, and propositional look at the ‘transition phase’ of London’s 2012 Olympic Legacy, immediately post-Games, and constructively proposes temporary use across the site and in the surrounding areas of East London. At the key moment in early 2010 as the newly established Olympic Park Legacy Company gears up to develop its vision and detailed strategy for the first five years after the 2012 Olympics, the Legacy Plus program aims to connect international urban experts with key players in the Olympic Host Boroughs and an engaged London audience to advance general public and professional thinking about temporary uses from a position of acting as a ‘stop gap’ or only temporary added value and instead look at how creative temporary use can proactively inform what comes next for this dynamic area of London.
