ARIDLANDSINSTITUTE @ Woodbury University ALI_Systems FREE Workshops Launched at Woodbury: Smart Design Strategies for Managing Water + Energy in a Changing Climate Localized management of rainwater, stormwater runoff, and reclaimed wastewater will be crucial to sustaining western cities in the face of climate change. Workshops are short (9-3 on Saturdays), free, and practical, open to students, design professionals, and the public. Applicable to both new construction and retrofits, workshop leaders provide designers and citizens with basic information and follow-up resources for making smart, low-carbon design decisions related to water and energy. Workshops are offered in partnership with the City of Burbank as part of a major grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development/Office of University Partnerships to provide design + planning assistance to citizens seeking smart design strategies for water and energy conservation.
