The Paul Rudolph Foundation is pleased to announce the fourth installment of our salon series on Modern Architects with a discussion led by Jayne Merkel. Jayne Merkel is an architectural historian and critic. The former director of the graduate program at the Parsons School of Design in New York, she has published widely in Progressive Architecture, the Harvard Design Magazine, and the Cincinnati Enquirer. Her recent book, Eero Saarinen, published by Phaidon is the first holistic examination of Saarinen’s life, work and evolution since the architect’s passing in 1961. Ms. Merkel will share her research and findings on one of America’s most celebrated architects, discussing the buildings, projects and furniture of Eero Saarinen & Associates Doors open at 6:15PM.
