A symposium called "ALGODE 2011 TOKYO - International symposium on Algorithmic Design for Architecture and Urban Design" is planed on coming march by Architectural Institute of Japan, the sub committee for Complex Science and Algorithmic Design. http://news-sv.aij.or.jp/algode/index.html This Symposium will be a first event to draw attention to topics such as; Generative Geometries and Parametric Design, Biomimicry, Modelling and Simulation of Complex Systems, Emergence and Self-Organization, to name a few. It will be of interest to a very diverse group of participants from around the world. ALGODE symposium committee has just decided to extent the deadline for abstract submission from September 30, 2010 to October 20, 2010. The Abstract should be no more than 300 words including selected topics and keywords. Abstracts must include the proposed title for the paper and may include images and diagrams. Moreover, instead of holding a traditional style of symposium, which requires delivering of papers, ALGODE seeks a range of work including design projects that explore the topic of algorithmic design.
