Teachers, parents, administrators, design professionals and the general public are invited to visit the exhibition, meet program staff and learn how to bring CFAF’s design education programs to their communities. The event is free and refreshments will be served. For more information and to RSVP, visit http://cfa.aiany.org/index.php?section=calendar&evtid=2086. The BUILDING CONNECTIONS 2010 exhibition highlights the creative talent and hard work of the K-12 students who participated in the Center for Architecture Foundation’s (CFAF) architecture and design education programs during the 2009-2010 school year. This year’s exhibition also illustrates CFAF’s design education methodology and highlights the benefits of design education. The Center for Architecture Foundation is an award-winning architecture and design education organization dedicated to promoting public awareness and a broader appreciation of the important role architecture and design play in our daily lives. We engage general public audiences in contemporary topics on the built environment to encourage design literacy. Programs include K-12 in-school collaborations, youth and family workshops, professional development, scholarships and public exhibitions and educational events at the Center for Architecture - a public gallery space committed to advancing the understanding of the built environment managed in partnership with the American Institute of Architects NY Chapter. www.cfafoundation.org
